Canadian Registry for Internet Numbers IANA.CA

We support regional and local communications activities by assisting and coordinating IP addressing requirements for communication networks.

IANA.CA hopes to establish and assist Canadians at the federal, regional and municipal level with the coordination of IP addressing and other advanced communications requirements of Canadian communications networks.

The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) also provides similar services.

Likewise, the "Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA)" is responsible for the global coordination of the Public "DNS Root system", Public IP addressing (RFC3330) and other Internet protocol resources.

Our goal is to assist rural and regional communications initiatives by providing collaboration and consulting primarily for IP addressing as per RFC1918 for Private and Open Access Networks at regional and local levels in Canada.

We support communities by providing communication, education and/or co-ordination activities. In addition, registration services include: technical consulting and training, information services, database maintenance, meeting organization, and general liaison and co-ordination tasks. However, any such additional activities must be supported by membership as consistent with both the basic operating principles of a Regional Internet Registry in the interests of the members.

More information coming soon.
